Throughout this course, you will learn how to : 

•        Master self-introductions: age, occupation, origin, country of residence, languages spoken
•        Prompt others for self-introductions (exchange contact information and asking questions)
•        Introduce your family and comprehend a family tree
•        Express preferences and dislikes, agreements and disagreements

•        Possessive articles
•        The adjective (gender/ number)
•        Definite and indefinite articles
•        Negation
•        Present tense
•        Special verbs: être, avoir, aller, venir, aimer

Throughout this course, you will learn how to : 

•        Express and gather details about accommodations (housing, renting, etc.)
•        Describe interior design, space and furniture
•        Discuss daily routines and habits
•        Inquire about and provide the time, the date and duration.

Main Grammar topics:

Il y a / Il n’y a pas, c’est + adjective, colors, gender and number of French adjectives,  verbs : pouvoir, sortir, dormir, prendre and devoir, Il faut + infinitif, reflexive verbs, adverbs of frequency.

Throughout this course, you will learn how to : 

•        Talk about hobbies
•        Describe someone's physical appearance and personality
•        Invite or make a proposition, accept/decline an invitation
•        Understand and follow itineraries
•        Describe a city's locations

Main Grammar topics:

Verbs : faire and jouer, the pronoun on, expressing the cause : pour and parce que, le futur proche (future tense), the French adverbial pronoun y, and French direct object pronouns.

•        Describe and inquire about clothing & shoes and their price
•        Talk about your preference and taste in food, give a recipe

Imperative mood, demonstrative articles, partitive articles, adverbs of quantity, le passé composé (past tenses : negation, auxiliaries, irregularities)

•        Talk about culinary habits
•        Qualify a dish with the 5 senses
•        Express your viewpoint
•        Talk about sports practice
•         Recommend, advise, suggest and propose something to someone

Main Grammar topics:

The pronoun "en", expression of progression, cause, consequence and purpose, interrogative pronouns "lequel", "laquelle", etc., imperative pronominal verbs and pronoun object with imperatives, the simple future tense (the will-future tense in French), the different negatives, the conditional tense (conditionnel présent).

Past tense (l’imparfait), temporal prepositions, the different negatives (restrective negation), adverbs ending in "-ment", use the passé composé and imparfait together, adverbial pronouns "y" and "en", gerunds form to express simultaneous actions, adjectives placement and order.

Present participle (2), conditional mood (2), past conditional mood, expressions of anteriority/ simultaneity/posteriority (2)

Pace: Standard Course - 2 hours / week over 10 weeks

Throughout this course, you will learn how to :

•  Discuss your taste in art (reading habits, shows, cinema and theatre)
• Talk about successive or simultaneous events
• Express purpose, concession, certainty and doubt
• Express posteriority and anteriority
• Discuss new technologies and internet

•        Relative pronoun "dont"

Broaden your knowledge of the structure and use of French language at the Advanced B2 level while speaking with a degree of fluency.

In this level, you will learn to express your opinion and debate about a wider range of topics, to use and understand complex vocabulary, based on authentic documents drawn from French media.

Pace: Standard Course – 2 hours / week over 9 weeks

Broaden your knowledge of the structure and use of French language at the Advanced B2 level while speaking with a degree of fluency.

In this level, you will learn to express your opinion and debate about a wider range of topics, to use and understand complex vocabulary, based on authentic documents drawn from French media.

Pace: Standard Course - 2 hours/ week over 8 weeks

To attend a conversation course, you must have minimal expression (level C1.1 of the European reference framework) in French.
The teachers identify the areas of interest of the participants and prepare the lessons accordingly.
