Our upcoming film screening at, and with, the Lumière Cinemas shines a spotlight on acclaimed filmmaker Céline Sciamma. Writer and director of this poignant film, Sciamma explores the theme of a child’s search for identity with sensitivity and depth.


When a family moves to a new neighbourhood in Paris, 10-year-old Laure introduces herself to the local children as Mickaël, a boy. Through the lens of childhood play and friendships, the film delicately examines themes of gender identity, social perception, and the challenges of growing up transgender.
